
Dr.
Lunt and his wife, Diana, live in St. George with their six children.
They moved to St. George from San Antonio, Texas. While there, Dr.
Lunt fulfilled a United States Air Force military commitment as
an Ob-Gyn physician.
Dr. Lunt and Diana are originally from Arizona and feel right at
home in the desert southwest. After years of moving with the military,
they plan to make Southwestern Utah a place that their kids can
call home.
Schooling
Dr. Lunt graduated from Arizona State University
in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He graduated
Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 grade point average. He received his
Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Arizona College of
Medicine in 1990. While there he was elected to the Alpha Omega
Alpha medical student honor society and was awarded the Merck Academic
Science award.
His internship and residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology were completed at Wilford Hall Medical
Center (WHMC) in San Antonio, Texas. The faculty and staff at WHMC
included many of the most published experts

in obstetrics and gynecology, including
Dr. Gary Hankins, a leading author and editor of the major text
used in obstetrics, Williams Obstetrics.
Dr. Lunt was active in many research
projects while at WHMC and was published in Obstetrics and Gynecology,
the official journal of the American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists. Training was detailed and comprehensive in
all aspects of the specialty including high risk obstetrics, gynecologic
oncology, infertility, and medical and surgical treatment of urinary
incontinence. Residency was completed in 1994.

Professional
Experience
After completing residency, Dr. Luntâs
first Air Force assignment was at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid
City South Dakota. He was Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for
the two years he was there. For his service there, he received “The
Air Force Commendation Medal”. He was then asked to return
to San Antonio, Texas to join the staff at Wilford Hall Medical
Center. While there he participated in Resident training and was
Chief of Ambulatory Services in the OB-GYN Department. He was there
for the final two years of his Air Force commitment. He was honorably
discharged from the Air Force in June of 1998. He has been in private
practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology in St. George since that time.
Dr. Lunt received his Board Certification from the
American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996.
